There used to be a site that gave the dimensions of fur stretching boards and i've did searches and can't find it. Can somebody post a link, or just post the size of a skunk board? Thanks for any help. Plinker aim small, hit small

A good friend of mine (Newt) has a lure and supply buisiness and this was posted on his site snareone.com Posted - 10/14/2005 : 16:53:54 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North American Fur Auctions Measure from nose of board down Make boards out of soft wood 1/2" to 5/8" thick -------------FOX----------------- Wide------------- Down 2"------------ 1 3/4" 3"------------ 3 1/2" 4"------------ 6" 5"------------ 10" 6"------------ 17" 6 1/2"-------- 24" make board 66" long You MUST use a belly board ------------COON---------------- You will nead at lest 2 different size boards Wide----------- Down 5 1/2"-6"----------- 11" 7 1/2"-8"----------- 30" 8" at bottom 48"-54" long Wide--------------- Down 5"---------------- 11" 6 1/2"------------ 30" 7" at bottom 48"- 54" long You MUST use a belly board Or use a #4 wire strecher on both. Before you put a fox on a #4 wire strecher bend the nose in to narrow it up. ------------NOW----------------- "WELCOME TO NEWT'S WORLD" On coon take a #4 wire strecher and cut the ends off about 2" long after they make the 90 at the bottom. Take a peice of soft wood 1/2" x 5 7/8" x 16" for the small size 1/2" x 7 1/4"x 16" for the big size. Now duck tape these in the bottom of your wire strechers tha yo cut. This alows you to staple your hide on and it will look like you did it on wood and you will get the extra lenth out of your fur like on wood. + you dont nead a belly board. For fox I still use a #4 wire strecher with the nose bent in sme to narrow it up. Newt---over---

Thanks wildpork, that was exactly what i was looking for. I make mostly make boards out of plywood because its hard to find scrap wood that is wide enough. I'm trying to do a better job on the boards and made this one out of real wood: This board at 40 inches would be too short for a fox unless it would be a small one. Thanks for the information. I've been looking for coyote stretcher dimensions myself. This link lists dimensions on page 7. Fur Stretcher dimensions . "Listen more than you speak, and you will hear more stupid things than you say."
