If you are referring to AA batteries, they suck.

For trail cameras the Eneloop NiMh batteries are often recommended by the manufacturer. Work better than alkaline (which sometimes doesn't work at all) but probably not as well as the pricey lithium disposables

I run Panasonic envelop batteries in my cameras and recharge every 4 months weather they need it or not. I have Browning cameras set for 10 second videos and will have a couple hundred videos on each unit with no issues.

All depends on how hard the cameras work.

Set for both high MB pictures and 4K video at 30 seconds, batteries don’t last long.

Especially if there is a lot of activities.
