Greetings all, Went to the Oaks PA gun show yesterday and purchased a box of 375 Winchester ammo (Winchester code X375W, 200 grain PowerPoint) from a vendor named Collector Rifle and Ammo Inc for $49.50 plus 6% tax. We were told by the owner that Winchester has made a run of 375 ammo and it is once again avalable. They offer it on their Web site here Collector Rifle & Ammo, Inc. Not sure how much they have but if you are interested act fast IMO. There was also another vendor that had some 375 Win brass. I stocked up...probably for the rest of my shootable life... They also have some other interesting calibers one does not often see Thanks Paul "Diligentia - Vis - Celeritas" NRA Benefactor Member Member DRSS

Thanks, I'd buy some if they loaded the 250-grain bullet again.

I gave up on Winchester making a run of 375 Win brass so I bought Starline 38-55 WCF 2.082" brass instead. Trimmed it down to 375 Win. length of 2.010” and it looks great, I even like the head stamp better, it keeps people guessing.

Mick, I considered doing the same with 38-55 brass, but as I understand it 375 Winchester headstamped brass is heavier and different in the base compared to the 38-55. I have read that when Winchester developed the 375 they specifically designed the brass to withstand higher pressures. While I think you would be safe with medium pressure loads in the 38-55 brass I would be careful if trying to go to max loads as the brass is generally weaker. Paul, That's my understanding too but I'm only talking about Starline brass. Although I only load lead bullets for the 375 Win, not jacketed hunting bullets, I have read a number of people that do with no problems. Starline is just a better case then Winchester. Maybe someone here in the know can shed some more light on this.

A well-known hunter tells me it is good to use .38-55 brass because you can get more powder into it. I wouldn't be hoping for 10 or 15 reloads, though.

I wish starline would make 375 Winchester brass .I asked them at the NRA show last year if they would but the thicker base makes it hard .I still have two 375 Winchester rifles model 94 big bores .Bullets are the other problem after hornady quit making the 220 grain flat point .I am staring to cut off pointed bullets with a cut off saw and make my own flat points .The 375 Winchester is an awesome little round with lots of power .

Starline does catalog 375 Winchester on their website but I've never seen any. I have enough 375 Win cases to load about 100 hunting rounds with Sierra 200 gr FN bullets. I've been shooting Lyman 264 gr FN GC lead bullets pushed just below the Pmax of the 38-55 Win for a number of years now. So trimmed 38-55 cases work just fine for my needs.

Update on 375 Win brass. I spoke with Starline at the recent NRA meeting in Dallas in early May and they assured me that they "are very close to release" of the 375 Win brass. It is listed on the Website as out of stock. Hopefully soon. "Diligentia - Vis - Celeritas" NRA Benefactor Member Member DRSS

Vollmer makes bullets for the .375 Win. They shoot good in my Marlin but I haven't shot anything with them yet. Hip

I stumbled onto 8 boxes of once fired brass for $2.00 a box. That with using 30-30 or 38-55 brass for castbullets should keep me going.
