Well, I did the sale/trade... I now have in front of me a Winchester Deluxe 1876 .50-95 Express short rifle. I went back and took a closer look at the untouched Indian rifle and was delighted to see that it was in much better condition than I my first impression. That must have been due to the fact of looking at it next to a completely restored new looking one... Anyway, this is what I ended up with: 2nd model variation (1882) 22" round barrel exactly Full magazine WINCHESTER EXPRESS .50 CAL. 95 GRS. on the dust cover Deluxe stock w/ pistol grip and checkering Shotgun butt Standard sights Saddle ring Buffalo horn grip cap English proofed (London) Very nice sharp and shiny bore! Nothing missing and in perfect working order! No serious pitting or dings Outside has a bit of handling wear, but the inside is immaculate! I am very happy with this rifle and dont think Ill be getting rid of it too soon! By the way, what is the proper tang sight for this rifle? Is it the one for the 1892/94 or the 1886? Thanks! | ||
