See that you have a '94 Black Shadow. I have one too & sure not complaining about accuracy at all. Seems they set it up pretty well for that. I have great groups with cast 311041 at full power & the little Lee 113 gr. plus Lyman 77 gr., RCBS 32-98 pistol bullets at plinker speeds. Only complaint is that this gun has an ejection problem. No sticky cases type thing, just that unless I YANK the lever, I get one still in the chamber. Just bought a Marlin that shot well with my 311041 load & really like the way it works. If it is 1/2 as accurate as my .444 Marlin, I'd be happy.
So, have you experienced any ejection problems with your Black Shadow?

Good advice thanks.I've held both weapons and marlin feels best. But its more for my dad to hunt with and not me he likes winchester but seems everybody tells me the marlin is the better gun. he likes winchest only because of the way it looks.

Marlins being tighter and a little more accurate is enough for me but if scoping marlin is the only choice of the two

Marlin for sure....unless it's an 1886 winchester and thatchanges things............although I do not think the 1886 was ever in 30-30.

i dont know why but i think i can guess, its because of the top ejection and u gotta get a side mounted scope.

That is the non-angle eject ones. Now that scout (intermediate eye relief) scopes are readily available, you can mount one forward of the action rather handily. Don't need to side mount it anymore. Angle eject models can mount scopes in the conventional way. If you're looking at new, odds are it is AE.
