Anyone on here have any experience with this calibre rifle or the company itself? "This ain't Dodge City and you ain't Bill Hickok. "

Butch posts here. He took the prototype to Africa. IIRC he had no issues killing a nice Cape Buffalo with it. If I did not already have an '86 in 50-110 I'd be having him build me one. Neat ballistics. Rich

I had Turnbull Restoration do a 50 alaskan for me. They are great to deal with and very professional. I would recommend them as someone you could trust to do the job and do it very well. I can't comment on the .475 Turnbull cartridge as I went larger!

Great to hear about the accuracy. Hope it will shoot 3/4" groups like my .470NE Krieghoff Classic does. "This ain't Dodge City and you ain't Bill Hickok. "

I have seen and handled several of Turnbulls products. All have been first rate. I have also shot a couple of his rifles, including his Personal 1886 475 Turnbull, well over 50 rounds, several rounds fired at 200 to 300 yards, at some steel targets. I must say that the rifle fit me perfect, recoil was very mild. The 1886 worked like oil on slick ice. It was one of the best handling shooting rifles I have ever fired. I was Impressed. I liked it. I would have NO hesitation sending him a gun to work on, or to buy a gun he had in "stock". DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
