Is it OK to dry fire a 99 Savage like I do with my bolt actions? leaf or coil springs?

It has a coil spring, which probably answers my question. I'll take my chances.

Thanks, Ray. This rifle is going javelina hunting with me in a few weeks instead of the usual 243.
