| Weaver Tip-Off rings are a little wider than other rings for grooved .22 receivers (that is, wider in the dimension that is longitudinal with the scope tube), so they take up a little more room than, say, a Leupold, Burris, or Millet ring. This is minimal, though, perhaps a quarter inch or less, so switching rings isn't going to solve your problem. To alleviate your problem, you're going to have to go to a different scope than has the adjustment turrets in a substantially different place. |

| TGT I purchased the Weaver TO-10 base that slides directly onto the 3/8" grooved receiver and attaches with set screws. It's only about $6 and you can mount your scope correctly. If you can't find one you can call their customer service 1(800) 635-7656 |

| Silvertip, how much extra length (forward of the where the grooves stop on the receiver) does the TO-10 give you? I did find the base on another site. Does it just slide onto the grooves and the set screws fix it in place? Will it allow a regular rimfire scope to be mounted far enough forward so that the eyepiece is not way back?

| TGT It will give you about 2" extra length, Yes it slides into the grooves and the set screws hold it. Yes, you can mount a regular rimfire scope far enought forward. I put a swift 3x9x40 on mine with 1" rimfire rings. It does accept either detachable top mount rings or tip-off rings. BUY ONE you'll never be sorry. |
