Do any of you guys know the real story behind the demise of MarlinTalk?

Marlin dropped it most likely because too many people were discussing loading data for the 1895 Marlin 45-70 at near elephant gun pressures. Probably their lawyers suggested it go the way of the dodo bird. probably because there was also a lot of vert contentious posts that Marlin felt reflected badly on them and gun owners as well didn't help matters.
it is kind of back up as marlin owners.com or some such, a site no longer associated with Marlin.

Ditto what Paul said...

MarlinTalk was a good site, but I think the company got sweaty under the collar with some of the topics and postings, making them a bit nervous due to liability issues.

MarlinOwners.com is a good site and nearly all the "old gang" from MarlinTalk can be found there.
