I may be the last person to know this, but here it is anyway.

Got a call this morning from Graf & Sons. They now have their own special run of .303 Savage brass CURRENTLY IN STOCK NOW. It is boxer primed, of course, and wholesales at $34.99 per 100 pieces (plus shipping).

Anyone who has tried to find brass for their trusty .303 M99 knows that old, fired, American brass has been selling on eBay for $1 per round or more and that Norma, when available, is also $1 per round and up.

This is a really good deal, and I doubt it will last long...I first tried to talk Bob Graf into having it made over two years ago, and have had mine on backorder for a year and a half. Now it is here!

(P.S. - As of day before yesterday, their website was showing it as "Out-of-stock", but their phone call this morning assured me it is now here...)

Three cheers for Grafs!, and if I recall correctly, three are in order for Hornady as well -- I recall reading they make these brass runs for them. Those goods souls have also brought 8 Lebel, etc. brass back to realistic prices as well.

Yes, Graf's is a good outfit. They obviously have to make a profit, but they are also willing to stick their necks out to pay in advance for special runs of brass to satisfy their customers' needs.

I know some of their brass is made by Hornady, but believe some may also be made by Prvi Partisan, which I rank right along with Lapua for quality.

Their Prvi Partizan listing and their own headstamped brass are side-by-side in their latest flyer (Page 3), and between them include brass for:

6.5x50 Japanese
6.5x52 Carcano
7.5x54 French
7.5x55 Swiss
7.62x54 Russian
7.65x53 Argentine
7.7x58 Japanese
7.92x33 Kurz
8x50-R Lebel
8x56-R Hungarian
and 9.3x62 Mauser

All are for boxer primers....

We shooters of older and imported arms really owe them some thanks for making this stuff available at something other than collectors' prices.

The tracking system for UPS shows my order was shipped this last Monday, Oct. 30. Presumably by next Monday, November 6, we should actually know if they have any .303 Savage brass included in my packet.

A.C., my ignorance is showing. Who is Prvi Partizan, ie., what country, etc. I'm not familiar with them. My last printed Grafs' catalog is stored back in the U.S. Regardless, I'm quite happy to see Grafs doing this.

Not surprised you're not familiar with country of origin...distribution in the U.S. was very spotty until a couple of years ago. The country used to be called Yugoslavia ("Aha!", everyone says, "I remember that well..."), now I believe it's known as Serbia...at least the part where the factory is...

They are the same folks who at one time made much of the Hansen-imported brass. I've been using Prvi-Partisan components for about 12-14 years, in such chamberings as 6.5 M/S, 7.5x53.5 French, and a number of others. Has always been properly annealed, uniform flash-holes, xcellent quality stuff. I highly recommend it, especially as it is VERY price competitive.

P.S: Be sure to check flash hole diameter before sizing in your dies...they tend to use a somewhat smaller flash-hole than the decapping pin in many American dies...just use a decapping pin intended for the PPC cartridges and it works just fine....

Does anyone have a source for the 190 grain bullets that were loaded in the 303 Savage? A coworker has one, and I know he has some old brass, so I will let him know about the new brass from Graf...
