cConcho I have to plead ignorance and say I am unaware of the issue you are talking about, and that I purchased ch4 50-110 dies and they load my ammo fine and it goes band and feeds and extracts. I would just ring Dave Davidson (owner) directly and have a chat with him I have found him helpful, and I live in Oz !!

Does this not say you have a 50-110 ? I may be mistaken but in another forum Maybe reloading ? You suggested getting CH dies ! and you said they worked for your 50-110 . [NOW] You don't remember ????

PC & a_dalimata - Thanks for the input! I went to leverguns.sixgunner and found this http://web.tampabay.rr.com/jimstags/win1892/index.htm It talks about the Win. 1892 but the 1886 is supposed to be very similar. I also found the source of the article regarding altering the Win. tang safety and rebounding hammer. It is supposed to be in Rifle Mag., November 2003, #210. If anyone has this magazine at home, could you pass on the information? I wonder if this info is different from what is on the website I mentioned? I have used WLR primers in my 1886 so far but I have been told that Federal primers are "softer" and I will try Fed. 210 next. Fixing the rebounding hammer will be the priority, though. Vasa
