Scrumbag44 mag plinking load
Hi folks,
Anyone got any suggestions for a 25 to 50m plinking load for a 44 mag lever action?
Been suggested a 240 cast bullet and Viht N330.
Any thoughts? Suggestions welcome

buckeyeshooterHard to beat 7 grains of unique. It cronos 1024 fps out of my marlin 1894 with 20 inch barrel. Accurate enough for use in cowboy action shooting.

LamarI use a 240 cast bullet and 8.5grs of unique.
that's light enough, but fast enough, and accurate.
shot a lot with 7grs of 231, and 6grs of tite-group with cast bullets too.
right now it's unique [shrug] next year? maybe titegroup again or bulls-eye I got some of both.

NormanConquestI agree that unique is hard to beat; unless its 2400.

44magLeoThe 8.5 gr Unique is a good load. Just be sure your cast bullet is big enough. My marlin likes them at least .432 .433 is better.
If too small the accuracy will be poor and you will get excessive leading.
