To find a qualified appraiser I would contact somebody at the Buffalo Bill Museum(?), Cody, WY. or one of the big auction houses for a referral. Another is Missouri Valley Gun Collectors Asssn. PO 33033, Kansas City, MO, 64114. Good luck, and be advised that those that counterfit guns can do the same for paperwork. There's a lot of bogus out there, so get help, especially for a piece such as this.
