Gents:
20 years ago, when I played with Winchesters, I had a liner put in the barrel of my great-great grandfather's 1873 Winchester in .32-20. It was completely shot out so the bullets keyholed. As it was not for sale I was not worried about the collectibility of the rifle--I just wanted it to shoot well.

Now, I'd like to restore it to new and would like an original round 24-inch barrel in the same caliber to have a gunsmith install before a complete refinish to original specs.

Any idea where to look for a barrel?
Cheers and thanks,
Cal

Contact Ron Peterson at Ron Peterson's Guns in Alburquerque NM. He might be able to help. You can also contact Rocky Mountain Shooters Supply in Ft. Collins CO and ask to be put into contact with Dick Beck. He has been known to have had several Winchester parts guns and might be able to hook you up.

Check Buffalo Arms: I recall that they carried barrels already threaded for the 73. Or my memory is going. Or both.
