Aperture sight for Win 92

I'm getting a Win 92 in 218 Bee from a friend, and want to put better sights on it to help these old eyes... Big Grin

I don't want to put a side mount scope on it, as I want to keep it as light and handy as possible.

I'm not real keen on the tang sight idea.

Is there a sight that mounts on the receiver? What brand and model should I be looking for? I've tried logging into Williams gunsight page, but keep getting a 404 error...

Any help?

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion MichiganScott, but it ain't for me...

I tried using a 'mockup' on the rear sight of another rifle, and it was actually harder to use than the original blade...

I'll stick with a receiver mounted one if I can find it.

Cheers

In my less than completely humble opinion on receiver sights... after playing with a modern production Lyman 66LA
sight for a Marlin I have to say if you have a choice get the Williams FP instead.

the williams sight is essentially unchanged from it's original design and though it's aluminum is fairly sturdy.
The multi layer paint job on them is first rate.

The current production lyman sights are essentially unchanged from their original turn-of-the-century
(and that's 19th to 20th century) design except for one thing, they are now made of aluminum that is annodized black, instead of steel that is blued.

The lyman sight is a nice sight, but the original dimensions are carryovers from the steel sights so the aluminum modern "copies" are comparatively delicate.

The williams sights look a little "chunky" by comparison, but I know from experience that the lyman is easily bent, the
williams being designed from the get go for construction from aluminum tends to be a bit more robust.

lyman has the old "look", but if I have to have a lyman sight I'll ante up the cash for an old original steel one.

Mabey if enough of us ask Lyman it will encourage them to bring back the steel ones (I ain't holdin' my breath) as I'd cheerfully pay double the price of the current aluminum crap for a NEW production STEEL 66A (for my winchester) or 66LA (for my various Marlins), but
until they do each of these rifles will be wearing a Williams FP.

Though after some reflection on my Marlin 1894C (357Mag)
I think I'll just go with some sort of fiber optic sight like these:
