need a gunsmith for my vintage 1886 winchester
Hi guys!

I've got an original 1886 winchester that is experiencing a mag tube problem. I'm looking for a gunsmith that can work on the rifle. It is fully restored so I am looking for someone who takes pride in their work and won't leave scratches on the metal or wood. Doug Turnbull has been suggested, but he has long wait times and I would prefer not to use him unless I have to.

Any suggestions?

Strange indeed.

I replied to the poster( pizzaboy) that griffin & Howe could do the job par excellence...But my reply has been erased!!

Howdy Pards!

Sorry, been out of town and just now getting back to this thread.

Doug, thanks for the reply. I was kind of hoping to use it in a match at the end of Jan. Sorry, I'm only a pizzaboy to my family!
