There really isn't much in between value when it comes to refinished Winchesters.It's either done right or it's not.. Unless the work is TRULY close to the factory origional finish,it is NOT a true restoration.It's just another reblued Winchester.. $400 tops. If the finish were truly restored and wood,metal and bore finish were equivilent to mint,you could double that figure. Of course, it the work were done that well,most folks would think it WAS all origional... Certainly most dealers would sell it as such.. | ||

If the finish were restored to factory specs by Doug Turnbull the price would be more like 3k. If done by any one else from what I've seen, even if excellent 1k tops. I agree $400 max but I wouldn't give $40 for it. Just look around a bit and you'll find one that's not been destroyed. | |||

An old model 92 with pitting and rust is worth more than a reblued 92. Too bad they reblued it. My guess is anywhere between $250 - $400...Gary D. | |||
