I recently snagged a 1952 vintage 336 Marlin in 30-30Win.
I had opportunity to chronograph some factory fodder, as well as some handloads.
The factory loads were all 170gr.
R-P CL SP avg. 1950fps
Fed Game Shok avg. 2060fps
Win PP avg. 2065fps
Win ST avg. 2100fps

Reloads were 170gr. Speer FN in Win Cases with WLR primers.
36gr. BLC2, avg 2120fps
33gr. Varget avg. 2100fps
34gr. Varget avg. 2160fps ** ( shoots 1.5 MOA with a Williams peep sight)

** over any published max load.
