My thought was the KE express version was the biggest boomer. Great round in a Marlin, bet it does wake you up!

Buckey, I have one of the Marlins in 510 Kod. exp. A nice write up in Gun World Magazine about 3 years ago. By Mic McPherson. He makes them. I shoot mine a little hotter than the loads in the article. But they are great guns and handle nicely. Mine is very accurate too. Used to be bigdoggy700 with 929 posts . Just stumbled back on this tread.... have my rifle, but have yet to shoot it. I had to fly out before I got the loading done.

I got excited over this thread and decided to fix my old .348 Win up into a real gun! Tried out a big bore mod. 71. won't mention the maker, as it was a sweet gun. I thought you guys said the recoil wasn't all that bad, What the hell,it hammered my crippled hand and ripped my head off, you guys have to be sadistic, punchy or who knows what! but then this is the internet and testosterone runs amuck! Anyway, I have a new appreciation for my little ole sweet .348 Win. and those wonderful 250 gr. Woodleighs!
