Plenty of M95's here. After 1896 all men entering the area of what is now Zimbabwe, Zambia or Malawi had to - by law have a .303 rifle. Those who liked a lever gun bought .303 M95's in large numbers. Never officail millitary issue anywhere here, so only in the volantier units at the start of the war would any have been used. The only photo where I have seen one "on duty" in the boer war was at Ft Tuli. There were several skermishes here between various comandoes and the the troops of the Rhodesia Horse/BSAP who held the fort for the duration.
