I've been looking for a new lever action rifle to use as a brush gun for hogs and one with a 16" barrel seems about perfect. I know that Win makes the trapper but these are really tough to find in a 44 caliber at a reasonable price. A used one would fit me perfectly but I just don't see them floating around much.

Who else makes one similar to the trapper? I'd love to find one in the 44 RM caliber as this is about perfect for what I need it for. It seems Rossi/Interarms makes one but I can't find much info on it and the 16" barrel may only be in a 357. Any other ideas on what I should be looking for? thanks.

I couldn't stand it so I paid up and bought a trapper 44 mag off one of the auction sites. I've really been wanting one of these rifles.
