Don't overlook the obvious. It may need a good cleaning. If grease has built up and hardened in the sear notch, a good cleaning may restore it to service. Easy to check, just remove the buttstock.

Thanks to all for the response. The gun is a original, serial #17,xxx deluxe model with a bolt peep so I would like to keep the original trigger.
