We have to hunt with gloves (sometimes thick ones) up here in Wisconsin. Does anyhow make an aftermarket loop for the 336 marlin? Thanks.

Dave Clay makes one. They are carried by Brownell's. The stock #'s are: 100-000-543 100-000-544 100-000-545 100-000-546 100-000-547 100-000-548 You'll have to check their descriptions to see which one fits your rifle. Price on all is $125.00 Hope this helps,

Are any of the three significantly better than the others? Since Brockmans has a lower price if you trade in your factory lever I assume he's just altering them. Do Clay and Wild west make them from scratch? Wild West's looks a bit larger than clays and says that it thicker at crucial points. Has anyone ever compared them side by side? Finally, Brownells says that they require minor fitting, what does this usually entail?

Several of the guys on the old "Marlin Talk" had put the DRC (Dave Clay) Big Loop Lever on their Marlins and really liked them. You could try a search for "Marlin Talk" and possible find the old threads in the archives. As I recall, not many had problems installing it by themselves. Hope this helps,
