I sighted in the 405 at 58 yards [a convient distance to shoot at the deer lease] last weekend. Then I took it on a walk "plinking". I fired about 30 rounds while walking in the woods. I did not want to shoot any pigs as it was just too hot to fool with them. However I really like the 1895. It handles very nice. Shoots good too. Next time I will check it at 100 and eventually 150 and 200 yards. Just to know its and my limitations. I also have some 300 gr North Fork Softs that I plan to load up for my Sept Idaho elk hunt. I have one of the recent Winchester made in Japan models, and I love it. My son takes delight in watching me bust watermelons and waterjugs with it! Dave | |||
