For a hunting rifle there is lttle dieeference Between the 5D and the FP. The FP is a little easier to adjust initially.

The Ashley sights are pretty nice and I use one on my 336. Call them when ordering though because they don't have as much built in adjustment as the Williams sights and you want to be sure to get the right model. You also may need to replace the front sight using the Ashley, maybe.
