I have a friend that has a very nice 32 Win Special in Model 94 Winchester. It has had a rubber pad installed and a receiver sight so it is not a collector's gun. It has been shot very little and shows only minor wear on Wood and metal. Does anyone have an idea of what a fair price would be for this gun?

Per Fjestaad, the post 1964 M-94's started at S/N "2700000".

It will be a pre 64 as the 32 Spec. was discontinued before 1964....In mint condition it will bring about $600 but with any use at all it drops in value greatly...I would venture to say without actually seeing your gun that $300 would be a very good price...

I have a .32 Special myself. The earlier reply of about $300 to $400 for a pre '94 seems reasonable. The caliber is excellent with cast bullets due to its 16 inch twist...find the right cast bullet shooter and you might do a bit better. Several sources show the .32 Special was not discontinued until 1973. Here's a link to one on the '94 history: http://www.galleryofguns.com/Shootingtimes/Articles/DisplayArticles.asp?ID=2 If you want to know the year of manufacture...check out the following address: http://oldguns.net/cgi-bin/f2f/f2f.pl?http://oldguns.net/sn_php/winmods.htm

Correction to my earlier post. Should have read "pre-64" not "pre-94". Likely you've already figured that out, but thought I'd better correct it.

I've got to say that I prefer the way Weatherman did the correction. Let the first post stand and make a correction later. We can then see what happened, rather than saying later "did I see this? or was it that?"
