Pulled my 1886 out of the safe the other day and discovered the lever won't actuate/open the action. I've never had it appart so am looking for suggestions from anyone who has also experienced this problem, before I begin the task. Up till now it has been a flawlessly working rifle in great condition. - EB You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on the back as you pass. WTF "worked out" ? Did he put it back in the safe ? !. remove all wood 2. soak the action from all directions in Kroil. 3. wrap in shrink wrap 4. store it a week in warm place It will work. 5. Buy one or more "Golden Rods" for your safe. | |||
