I saw a 1895 Winchester marked 95 on the tang, but all the others that I have seen are marked 1895. Is this common? Butch www.shadetreeea.com | ||

Yes, The later ones stating in the early 1920's were marked Model 95. Winchester also did this with the other models available at this time frame i.e. the Model 1886 marked 86, the Model 1894, the 94, ect. | |||
