What could one expect for accuracy out to 150 yds with the shorter barrel? The game would be small mule deer.

If i was shooting a good marlin with good ammo i would expect groups of around 2 inches at 150 yds. I've seen many 1" groups at 100 yds. from marlin lever guns. I'm referring to a scoped gun of course. velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

My 336 groups consistantly right around 1" at 100 yards. This is with reloads using a 150 Speer flatpoint and a scope. With 125 Nosler Bal. Tips it groups nicely under an inch. Single shot with those of course. Reading the Instructions - a sure sign of weakness and uncertainty.

I had a Marlin LTS back in the 90s. I only ran it with irons but it was good for three inches or so at 100 with Federal 125, Remington 150, and Winchester 170 gr factory ammo. Handy little gun; wish I'd kept it. Any mule deer that walks away will not be the fault of the rifle.
