It has a cracked stock that was badly repaired with glass. maybe 60 finish left. and a rough but not pitted bore. It shoots great, delivering 3" groups consistently wit iron sights from the bench. A guy at a club I belong to offered me $300 for it, but I saw on I think it was gunbroker where a bunch of parts(basically everything but the action) for one of these went for $300. Hard to say without inspecting the gun...but with 60% finish and shooting that well, I'd want $450 if it were mine...I would look around and replace the stock even if it took me awhile to find one... Thanks for the reply. I did find a company that makes replacement stocks for it for $65, but haven't the time or inclination to finish it. I'll see if I can't negotiate a better price. Thanks again. NRA Benefactor. Life is tough... It's even tougher when you're stupid... John Wayne

I grabbed a 38-55 and a couple of others this weekend that are in the 70 to 80% category- haven't shot them yet but they are $450 to $800 here on the coast through a gunshop. I listed some others in the classifieds. Frank
