barrel carbon fouling

In cleaning my rifles of the carbon ring buildup, I received quite a shock when I started cleaning my Marlin 1894 CB 44 mag. The barrel has carbon from chamber to muzzle instead of the normal 6 inches or so from the chamber. I shoot only jacketed bullets in this rifle; Sierra 250 gr. FPJ Tournament Masters with 21.5 gr. H-110 and CCI 350 primers. This is a very accurate load in this rifle. Could I have too weak a crimp or need a hotter primer? Any help in resolving this carbon problem would be greatly appreciated.

Noting specific to your load but I've read that H-110/WW296 does require a heavy crimp.

It does need a heavy crimp to burn properly.

Loads should not be reduced.
