Anyone have any experience with the newer Miroku 94 take downs in 30-30 and 450 Marlin? Asked on another forum and drew a blank.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I have a 92 and a 95 takedown models. They take down just like the winchesters and are fit very tight. The 92 is almost too tight. Hard to disassemble.

My 1886 and 1895 use different takedown methods and they both seem foolproof.

We got 86, 92, and 95's. Anyone owned one of the newer 94's?

I've had one in 450M for @ a month now. Beautiful gun...love it. In case you didn't know: it has a Decelerator pad and is ported.
I couldn't take it down when I first got it, so I put some Kroil on it and took it to the range to see if that would help shake it loose a bit, but still can't take it apart. I read online where someone else ended up bring it to a gunsmith who had to put it in a vise to break it open.

Thats interesting, but not in a good way about not taking it apart. How is the recoil?

Surprisingly less recoil than I expected, but the only thing I have to compare it to are a couple 12 ga, shotguns. The highest I went was 52 grs. RL7 and a 300 gr. Hornady, and it felt under that of a standard 12 ga.

I have a Winchester Miroku take down 1895 in 405 WCF. I have shot it quite a bit. I have killed deer and wild pigs, and several Australian Buffalo with it. It is a most excellent rifle. Very accurate. It has a Williams reciever peep sight.
It is one of my most favorite rifles.
