These things are hard to say without looking at the actual gun. Blue book put 92s at $750 for 40% finish plus another 15% for .38-40, 30% for SN < 168,000 and double for the Deluxe Model. Actual prices vary greatly. The real question is can you live with the price you'll have to pay? Are you prepared to wait for a "better deal" and go without? I probably paid too much for a unmolested Savage .250. I'm never going to sell it, I've put more money into it to fix some flaws and add a period apeture sights. I've also had the pleasure of shooting it for a couple of years now. Could I have found a better one? Maybe, but I sure am happy I got it when I did.

Thanks for the reply. It's not a deluxe but certainly sounds like it's worth $800. I reload for all my fire arms. Is there anything special about reloading for these old lever guns? Thought about a 180gr lead RN over something like 8gr of Unique or Green Dot for plinking. Does this sound about right?

$800 is about as good as it gets as long as the bore is in good shape, the stocks are not beat up and its all origional.
