I would like to take my Savage Model 99 totally apart for a thorough cleaning. Can anyone steer me towards a good manual with instructions (Kuhnhausen style) on how to take the thing apart and put it back together?

Just a thought here, I know of several people that have taken guns "all" apart, and either loosing small parts, or having a problem getting it back together.

Much easier IMHO is to get the proper spray cleaaner and "spray" the gun clean.

Then relube as necessary.

Just take care to keep the cleaner off the wood, or use something like Ballistol, which is safe for many wood finishes. Test on the wood first for sure.

Might save you a lot of grief in the long run.
