2 Savage 99's at the range today. We got there over an hour early so we could get a bench. Line of cars waiting when we left. Right: Takedown 300 Savage 1936 Marbles Peep Left: Takedown 300 Savage 1931 Probably redone. I've never seen bluing like this before. Not sure who did it over. Stock was probably Beitzinger. Lyman peep Right target is the 2 - 99's with Rem 150 SP. 50 yds. Left target is a M64 in 32 Win Spc.

Yes, great to see, Rich. I'm amazed that case hardening is still so good. At least you can still get to the range. This burg has been ring-fenced because covid has taken off again (520 new cases today - perhaps not horrific for a city of five million but in May it was about 10 a day) and most ranges are outside the ring.

Gotta love the 99s...I have a takedown 250-3000 that shoots pinholes, and its one of my favorite deer rifles, great for rock chucks, coyotes and antelope and its shot a few elk in its day.. My favorite saddle gun for elk and sometimes deer is a 99F .308... Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
