Is there anything sweeter than a 99 Savage with a rotary magazine?

I just receieved a 99 in .303 Savage with a 26" hex barrel 1908 vintage. Sure neat to see that kind of machining in a 100 year old rifle.

I have my Grandfather's 99 in .300 Savage. It's a true hunters rifle. Easy to carry, reliable and the 300 savage is about as good a deer cartridge that has ever been made. The rotary magazine is very cool.

I normally kill several deer a year with my 99 in 300sav. One of the best pointing handling rifles I have found for shooting running deer.

Looks a lot like the bottom one but mine wears a 1.75x5 burris.

Supposedly Savage has resurrected the great 99 and will show it at SHOT in January so let's hope it's true and keep our eyes peeled! I don't know what the variations will be but I'm hoping for a straight grip in 250 Sav, 300 Sav and 358 Win.

I totally agree about the Savage 99!
Now if I could only find a Stith scopemount so I don't have to D&T holes in this beautiful 300 Savage 99.

I doubt it, unless its a 99F made in the 1950s-60s in 250-3000 caliber. If I ever find one of these I will buy it...been looking for a long time for one.
