Gents:
I just picked up a .50-95 model 1876 and will soon come into an 1886 in .50-110. I am in need of dies, shell holder and brass cases.
Any of you have these to dispose of?
Cheers,
Cal

Cal I just saw your post after making one about the 1876. If you are still floating about, any word on how your 1876 went?

Ive always wante a 50-110, or 120 or best of all a 50-140 in an 86 win. to shoot an elk with. Why, just for the hell of it, Ive never shot and elk with a big bore lever larger than a 45-90, I liked the 45-90 much better than the 45-70 hands down.

Now I feel really insignificant, Ray.

There I was thinking my new 45-70 could be loaded to velocities beyond the old black-powder 45-90s and that loading the latter to its case capacity with smokeless endangered lever actions, but now my balloon is popped Wink

Yeah but a toggle link 1876 can't be loaded to the pressures that an 1886 can, not by a long shot.

Cal, out of curiosity what does your 1876 weigh? They're pretty huge rifles.
