I have a 1886 in 40-82 and would be interested in any smokeless powder loads or how to even start to work one up. (We shot the gun when my father first got it, back in 1960's, but not since then.) Thanks.

www.hodgdon.com Look up long range rifle in cowboy action , use 40/65 loading data to start your 40/82 loading Take care your rifle was made for Black Powder ! I load 3/F triple 7 in mine .100 crush Federal 215 Mag Primers , It's a new Japan model 45/90 .
