Another refuge' from the Marlin big bore board here. I was hiding behind "Jim Island" over there. If y'all run into any of them fellas, let 'm know I'm here. OK?

Thanks,

Im going to miss it. I posted quite frequently there. It was really an enjoyable site and will be sorely missed.

I think some of the criticism of Marlin in some posts got a little out of hand. Marlin would surely make right on any problem gun, but slamming Marlin on their own site is not the best way to go.

Any other MarlinTalkers out there?

Skrooo them! They just jerk the rug out from under the most loyal group of Marlin fans on the face of the earth? And then pawn off a hand-job answer as to there being "various reasons"? What one of those various reasons suddenly became so significant for them to pull the plug without giving the members a chance to glean e-mail address's and such? They must be taking clues from Remington....I'm pissed about it! Not that they did it, just in the way they did it!

I learned a lot from the Marlin forum. Sorry to see it go, for whatever reason. For them to do it in such an abrupt way, there may be something were not aware of. Anyway, glad to see some of you here.

Has anyone thought to email Marlin and ask for their input or opinion? Or maybe this idea is either to radical or simple. derf

What is really interesting is that one of the last "hot topics" was some poster saying "I give this forum 30 (maybe 60) days".

Hey Riflemanz. I too am disapointed in Marlin Talk Shutting down, They at least could have given us some warning! Oh well at least we have other places to meet. Hi to all the other Marlin members. If any one knows of other boards that the members are going to besides the leverguns one or Greybeards or the Marlin Collectors board besides here let me know. there was lots of good guys at that site. Yea a few bad ones also but for the most part the majority were a great group!! Jim

I believe the way, and the shut down of Marlin Talk will be one of the biggest Corporate BLUNDERS of all time. Worse than what S&W did.

EVERYONE should write and e-mail them..........................OTTO
