Quote: wiktor! Couldn't agree with you more, . And afore you send your Marlin off for an action job, have a look at this, http://www.marauder13.homestead.com/files/TUNING_M_1894.htm I've been doing my various Marlins on the kitchen table, doesn't take much, and very satisfying, said the lil Red Hen. Chuck, There were some photos on the old Marlintalk website. I have the information on the conversion kit; Made by Clyde Ludwig box 26156 Wauwatosa, WI 53226-0516 phone 414-536-1101 I bought 3 kits for $9.95 each ( I think?? could have been $7.95) and shipping was $3.00 I have 2 kits installed -- one on a 1895 Cowboy converted to .50 Alaskan and the other on a 1894 .44 Mag. installation procedures; 1 remove screw holding on butt stock and remove stock 2 remove 5/64 allen head screw (he includes correct allen wrench in kit) 3 save small ball an spring under allen screw--put on 1/2 4 cock and let saftey fall out. 5 slide in blank from right sideand alingn detent hole, make positve blank is rotated so hammer contacts firing pin 6 replace ball, spring and set screw-- put butt stock backon. As I have an uninstalled kit and a couple of rifles done-- I would be happy to send you photos of a kit and finished guns-- I have a web cam. Let me know if you would like to have them Chuck -- I belive you could have the saftey kit in and have the gun case colored with it in place, the finished kit looks like a screw in the reciever and is complete with a slot on one side.
