BISCUT,

You may want to look at the forums over at www.marlinowners.com

Look at the gunsmithing threads. You may be able to find what you're looking for there.

Does Nonneman's price of $975 to put an octagonal barrel with standard sights on an 1895 Marlin seem a bit high to anyone else? Just wondering as I may be out of touch on this kind of thing.

Strikes me as ridiculous. You can buy a new Marlin Cowboy and have it slicked for less than that.

After checking around it seems like Marlin lever guns get a hefty price for work. I certainly don't mean to diminish anyones labors. I was wondering if they are particulary difficult to work on? time consuming? or maybe both??
