Does anybody make a replacement front sight for the new win.1895 405 wcf?I love this gun but my 43 year old eyes can`t get a consistant sight picture with the factory issue pinned front sight.I will not drill and tap this gun for a peep sight,I hit better with express type open sights but the only pinned type front sights I can find in Brownells or other supply books are for S&W revolvers. And they are not tall enuff.I know I could send it to that Z-HAT fella to put on some of them barrel banded front sights but man! He charges as much for them as I paid for the gun itself!Plus he said he would have to refinish the gun as well and I don`t want to do that either. The only thing I have done to the 405 is put on a recoil pad if I could get the sights fixed it would be fine for my hunting the thick stuff here in Alabama`s swamps where most shot`s are 35 to 55 yards and 100 + yards is a LONG SHOT.The front bead just needs to be a little bigger for me to see. Also does any body make a winchester express type rear sight with a shallow v?
Thanks Ben Lee

I had a 405 built by Kreiger several years ago when he was the only person converting them. I put a NECG Universal front ramp ( the one with elevation adjustment)with a red fiber bead and a NECG island rear the Masterpiece that has a shallow V blade and is fully adjustable. I've been very satisfied with the arrangement both from a use and looks standpoint.

Try www.xssights.com. I use one of their replacement front blades in combination with a peep sight on my Browning 1895 in .35 Whelen, and find the sights very easy to see with my middle age eyes.
