What scope are you using? Some models of scopes have less internal adjustment than others. The Leupold 2x7 and the 3x9, and even a 3.5 to 10, have caused problems for me on some guns before. I have had both, not enough elevation or one time not enough windage. When I switched to a scope with more internal adjustments, the problem was solved. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Hello N E 450 No2, and thank you for your response. This is an old Bushnell Scopechief, ( were very fine scopes in their day ), it's a 4-12X42 and very clear. I tried another scope just laying in the rings and it showed the same problem in my Leopold bore sighter. I tried .005 then .010., then .015 and still no real change. Finally I ended up using the cap from a spray paint can and it measured .025....still not enough......So we now have two pieces at .052 and took it out back. Had elevation adjustment and shot my test and all is well. Been doing this stuff for over 50 years and this is the first time I have ever had to go more than .010 or .015. smoker1 The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it. --Thomas Jefferson
