I have been playing with my Marlin 1894S in 44 Mag. this weekend. I need some peep sights for sure. I don't know why I thought I would be able to do OK with the factory open sights. My grandsons groups and just general shooting put me to shame. I can't decide between the Williams WGRS, or the Williams FP, or the Lyman receiver sight. Then there are the tang sights from Marbles or Lyman and the Ghost ring from XS. I just can't make up my mind. This is a stainless rifle, so if there is a Stainless sight it would be real nice. What say you all? I can't make up my mind.

You need to go to skinnersights.com. Skinner sights specialize in making peep sights for Marlin lever guns. They have several styles to choose from. They are available in blued, brass, and stainless. Customer service is second to none. I have no affiliation to Skinner Sights other than I have their sights on several Marlins and am very satisfied. steve nelson

Williams does not make a stainless sight. That said I like the foolproof or 5D. The 5D is not click adjustable, so if you change zero alot -- its not the one to buy. If you settle on a single load, does just fine. The skinners will have a stainless sight, they probably work just fine, but they are butt ugly to me!

What distance are you shooting at? Most 44 Mag rifles have a 1 in 38" barrel twist. They do not usually shoot all that good at 100 yards, even when scoped. Try shooting at 50 yards or 75 yards. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
