Can someone fill me in on the differences between the Winchester Model 64 Deluxe and the standard Model 64? I haven't been able to find this in any of my ususal references. Thanks.

The differences are basically this. The Deluxe M64 has cut checkering, factory sling swivels and sling. The standard M64 has no checkering, sling swivels or sling. I have one of each, the deluxe made in 1938 and a standard made in 1951. Wood quality seems to be about equal in both rifles. Just my personal opintion, but of all the Winchester 94 variants, those M64s are the best handling of the bunch.
When you look at the forend cap on the rifle, the sling mount of the deluxe is an integral part of the cap. Hope this helps.

Model 64 Deluxe also called the model 64 deer rifle, was chambered in .30-30 and .32 Winchester Special. The model 64 standard was chambered in these calibers and also .25-35 and the .219 Zipper. In addition to the differences Paul posted, the pistol grip was capped with a hard rubber cap on the deluxe model. I agree the model 64 is one of the best handling and naturally pointing rifles made.

30 WCF,
The Deluxe model 64 was also produced in .25/35 but they are rare indeed...I sold one sometime ago for $3500.00 and today it would fetch $4500 I suspect...I have owned 2 or these cute little rifles over the years and I love the caliber...

Thanks to all for the info. I've been looking for a nice 64, and have spotted one fairly local. Hopefully I'll get to check it out this weekend.
