As long as one goes single shot.....and actually one in the chamber and only one in the magazine he can get away using pointed bullets in the levers.....so...has anyone experience with SST bullets in the .25-35?

Not with the 177 grain SST, but I have used pointed bullets in my Marlin, Savage, and Winchester rifles chambered in 25-35, plus a couple of Remington 14s in 25 Remington.

Since the 25-35 has a pretty modest case capacity, I has using 75 through 100 grain bullets and had particularly good success with the 90 grain Sierra BTHP, since it is a pretty fragile bullet.

I have a simulair question..I can get about 2700 FPS with a 86 gr. Rem. FP, and that bullet is designed for the 25-20..Has anyone used this bullet on deer size game in the 25-35 Win. at the slightly enhanced velocity or even dug one out of a dirt bank??? wave That should be an improvement over th 117 gr. bullet at 2300 FPS..

BTW, the 75 gr. Horn. FP won't shoot for beans in a Winchester 25-35, the twist is wrong IMO. I have tried it in several of them, no luck so far.

I am a 25-35 buff, I was born naked and bare footed and thats the day I got my first 25-35..
