I recently sent a letter to Winchester asking if they will produce a special run of 1892 Take Down rifles in 25-20. They replied with the statement they sent the comment/suggestion to their Product Manager.

An easier path to get what you want would be to send a letter to Davidson's. They do "special run" Winchesters all the time. I don't know if he's still with them, but Bruce Smith of Davidson's was VERY interested in constructive advice on what models to order for the following year.

They basically "design" the spec for the rifle, commit to Winchester for X amount of that model, and Winchester builds them for Davidson's, as one of their "exclusive" items.
