I have an oppertunity to buy an early original 76 deluxe rifle in the low 800sn range. 45-75 open top. It has a 28" octagon barrel and full length mag tube, no pitting but no original blue, just patina on the barrel and mag tube. The bore is rough but with plenty of rifling left too. The receiver was originally gold washed and has about 20% of the gold still there. The wood is pretty fancy and is checkered. The checkering is pretty worn and is gone in a few places but overall the wood is pretty still pretty nice with a few dings and gouges. All the screw slots except the tang screw are perfect. The metal overall is still sharp and crisp. Can someone please help me with some sort of a price range for this rifle?
I know it is potentially very expensive.
