In the 60's I had a bunch of them 139.50 NIB at the gun store I worked in. They were so plentiful. It was no problem to get one. Now that they are no longer made ,some prices are unbelievable. I never tried to work or improve on their accuracy. Triggers don't bother me at all, as a kid I probably had one of every military rifle in the world( remember those days when you could buy through the mailfor almost nothing, we even brought them to school to work on in shop class) and I shot them as is. You get used too it. Question is how do you rate the 88 as a deer hunting rifle and are there any tricks to improve accuracy. I had an 88 about 8 yrs ago which I rebored to .358 win., an elk hunting friend borrowed it and I haven't sen it since ! He thinks it's the cat's meow for elk on down. | ||
