I like the Remington 300 grain load and also use Remington Brass when I reload. I have found the Remington Brass perfectly adequate. I have tried both Winchester and Federal, but I like Remington better. David

Gents, I believe Marlin, after seeing the posts for the past few weeks, didn't want to see any more negitive data about their product. It seems that quite a few fellows have bought Marlins that have gotten poorly inspected guns, and started posting their complaints to other internet shooters. Marlin, in it's corporate stature, didn't like this. They just pulled the plug on a very popular shooting site. Their own class of censorship is not being taking lightly. I bought a Stainless Guide Gun in 45/70, because of the reports I read at Marlin's talk site. If they can take the positive about their product, then they should also take the negitive. I will not buy another Marlin gun if this is their character. One shooter, one gun. Do this a number of times and business will be affected. I'm hoping that bigger thinkers will prevail at their corporate headquarters and put the Marling talk site back on. Don't let the bottom liners make you a bottom liner! Just my 2cents worth. With all due respect to every one here, the original post was not about Marlin Talk. I will comment briefly about Marlin Talk and I appologize for my part in hi-jacking this thread. With that said it is my belief that the reason Marlin Talk was pulled was because of people publishing "Hot" loads on the forum and giving instructions to dismantle the safety and other liabillity reasons. From a liabillity stand point - it was smart for them to cancel the forum as they were the host. I have been using Marlin talk for a long time and for as long as I can remember people posted complaints about defects. Marlin would not pull the forum because of complaints now, after letting it go on for years. Marlin has always stood behind their firearms. I for one hold no grudge against them. They provided us with a service that went far beyond what any other firearm manufacturor has done or ever will do, and for that I am thankful. Thankful for the time that Marlin Talk was available. ED Chabot of Marlin helped anyone who had a legitimate problem on the forum. I love my Marlins and will continue supporting a quality American Firearms Company that cares about its customers and makes a damn fine bunch of firearms!! Sorry again for this departure from the original topic. David

David, I agree with you 100%. Let me tell you, those posts advocating disabling the CBS, the publishing of "hot" loads and such was creating a liability nightmare for Marlin. I speculate when I write that the reason Marlin Talk was cancelled was that one day, one of Marlin's in-house or outside counsel had too much time on his/her hands and decided to look over the site. They probably had a meltdown after reading the comments on that website. Litigation makes the world go 'round...or stops it in its tracks.
